Minecraft server infrastructure
Deploying and managing Minecraft servers with web-based administration, plugins, maps, and network forwarding.
Overview
I deployed and managed Minecraft server infrastructure using web-based management platforms and supporting plugins. The work used Crafty Controller, PufferPanel, Docker, and Linux to manage server configuration and administration.
Server management
I deployed the management software, created administrative users from the command line, and managed server settings. Public registration was restricted so the administrative interfaces did not expose unnecessary account creation.
The server also used plugins and supporting services including BlueMap, Chunky, and Simple Voice Chat. I pre-generated chunks and evaluated browser-based world maps with Dynmap and BlueMap.
Networking
The main Minecraft service and voice chat required separate TCP and UDP port forwarding. I configured the voice-chat network path and checked cases where a client could authenticate successfully while the voice connection itself was incomplete.
Result
The resulting setup provided managed Minecraft hosting with administrative controls, pre-generated terrain, browser-based map access, and plugin networking. It also gave me practical experience operating game services in Docker and Linux while accounting for both TCP and UDP traffic.
